Although the Upper Beach is usually lumped in with the Beach statistics it is a neighborhood all of its own.  As soon as you travel north of Kingston Road, housing prices become more affordable.  Residents hang on Kingston Rd or Main St where hipster haunts like Mercury Espresso are gradually opening up shop to serve the young families priced out of the prime Beach.
